Find A Table

levee is very under-the-radar. people don't go there to look cool or get checked out or noticed, at least not to the extent that other bars have that type of thing. It's very un-sexy, but not as un-sexy as Turkey's Nest. You won't find as many older locals there, but you will find them occasionally. The bar is as laid-back as can be. But back to the pool. Table is decent and the free monday night thing is great (also nice little drink deals that night too, like the bud + beam that i love). The ceilings are low, so it does feel a little hunkered down. If it's crowded on the weekend, there's still a good game always going, but there tend to be jackasses who don't know the bar well enough to respect the rear end of your pool stick ("listen man, i'm just trying to have a good time. Quit telling me to get out of the way." "I'm just trying to play pool! See this big felted table? That's for playing pool!"). That only happens on the weekends and usually only with very drunk people who don't know the bar. Long and short of it is: I play there more than anywhere else due to proximity and the games are always entertaining. There are a few characters, myself included, who show up there pretty regularly. I also enjoy the Levee and dislike Zabloski's if that means anything about my opinion of Abbey to you.
